Depth of Field Reflection

1. Which picture is the best shot of this assignment? Why

My best shot of this assignment was the last one with the rail in the foreground and the trees in the background, it is the best because it is in focus and clear.

2. Which picture is the weakest shot of this assignment?  Why?

My weakest shot of this assignment was the first one with the beads in the foreground, it is the weakest shot because it is centered.

3. How can the weakest image be improved on in future shoots?

The weakest image can be improved by off centering the objects.

4. Did you use Photoshop, Lightroom, or both?  What tools in the programs did you use to edit the pictures?

I used Photoshop to edit the pictures mainly using the burn tool to darken certain areas and the blur tool to emphasize the depth of field.

5. Explain how were you able to meet the objectives (GOALS) of the assignment? **THE GOAL CHANGES EACH LESSON. **SEE THE EQ ON THE ASSIGNMENT AND ANSWER THAT FOR THIS QUESTION.

I was able to meet the objectives by using manual focus to either focus on the foreground or the background.

6. What was easy about this assignment? Why?

The easiest part of this assignment was taking the pictures once the object of the pictures was found.

7. What was difficult about this assignment? Why?

The most difficult part of this assignment was finding objects to take pictures of, I had difficulty finding objects that would make it easy to emphasize the foreground or background.

8. If you could do this assignment again, what would you do differently?

If I were able to do this assignment over I would focus more on the composition of the objects rather than if they are in the foreground or the background.

9. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being your best effort) how would you rate your effort in this project?  Why would you give yourself that rating?

I would rate myself a 6 because I didn't focus on the rules but instead just took the pictures.
